Quarterly update shows City on track to deliver 96 per cent of actions in 2024 – 25 Annual Action Plan

Council has noted the Our Community Plan Quarterly Report for the September 2024 quarter.

The report tracks the City’s performance against Our Community Plan 2021 – 25 , the key strategic document which determines the areas of focus and outcomes for the organisation as it implements the 30-year community vision to make Greater Geelong a clever and creative city-region.

Each year, an Annual Action Plan is set, with the 2024 – 25 plan setting 58 actions, and quarterly reports are released publicly to provide a transparent update on performance in delivering the annual plan.

There are four strategic directions guiding the organisation, centred around a healthy and inclusive community, sustainable growth and environment, a strong local economy and a high-performing council and organisation.

Of the 58 actions, 56 (96 per cent) are on track to be delivered.

Of the remaining two actions, the review of the draft Early Years Infrastructure Plan is on hold pending further state government consultation, while the Armstrong Creek Community Garden is not proceeding following consultation with the community group involved.
