ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing more that $100 million a year for worthy causes, to charities and not-for-profit community groups across NSW.

The Queanbeyan-Palerang ClubGRANTS Committee is made up of four local clubs: Campbell & George, Queanbeyan Kangaroos Rugby League Football Club, Queanbeyan Leagues Club and Queanbeyan Tigers Australian Football Club.

This year the Committee selected 33 projects worth a total of $280,198.00 to receive either full or partial funding under the annual Category 1 funding round.

The 33 projects will provide community welfare and social services, community development initiatives and community health services which contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of our region’s community. The projects include services aimed at improving the living standards and welfare of low income and disadvantaged people.

The clubs have been able to support a wide range of programs that support the local community, some of the programs and organisations funded include:

  • The Queanbeyan Multicultural Supported Playgroup which provides valuable engagement for families from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • St Benedict’s Community Centre which provides free access to hot, nutritious meals for those in need
  • Music and Movement, a new music program for babies and children aged 0-3 by Queanbeyan Schools and Community Centres
  • Treehouse Queanbeyan’s water safety and physical activity program for children with disabilities
  • High Street Care Queanbeyan which provides emergency food vouchers to families and individuals in the community who find themselves in crisis

The Queanbeyan-Palerang ClubGRANTS committee would like to thank all groups who took the time to submit an application for this year’s round and encourage those who missed out to apply again next year.
