“The Queensland property sector will ultimately build the venues, infrastructure, houses, and businesses needed to host the Brisbane 2032 Games and so this board will ensure the sector tasked with delivering the infrastructure is also part of planning it,” she said.
“Our members have delivered venues for and precincts for global events including the Sydney and London Games and so their inclusion on the board will ensure that expertise is captured and leveraged to deliver the most successful Games possible for Queensland.
“It will also help attract private sector investment to Queensland, which is critical to funding the infrastructure we need while reducing the reliance on government budgets.

Ms Caire said she was honoured to be named on the board on behalf of Property Council members.
“It is an exciting time to be in Queensland and it is incumbent on all of us to work collaboratively to leverage this opportunity to deliver an enduring legacy,” she said.
“Our members play a critical role in shaping Queensland’s future, and I am honoured to represent our members every single day and feel privileged to have another opportunity to represent them on this board.
“On behalf of our members I congratulate all other board members, Chair Stephen Conry AM and Premier David Crisafulli for announcing the board appointments so swiftly.
“With less than eight years left until the Games begin there is no time to waste, and with much to do I am looking forward to getting to work so we can get on with delivering the infrastructure needed not only for the Games but for future generations of Queenslanders.”
Ms Caire said the appointment of Queensland property stalwart Laurence Lancini AM to the board followed advocacy from the Property Council calling for the Queensland property sector to be represented in acknowledgement of the role it will play in the success of the Games.
“The Property Council has been speaking with both the previous and current state governments over several months about the importance of including someone with experience in property on the board and we publicly backed in Laurence, I know Laurence’s passion and experience will deliver positive outcomes for Queensland.
Luke Fraser, President of the Queensland Division of the Property Council said, “It’s a smart decision from the government to include property experts on the board as their expertise will be critical in setting Brisbane and Queensland up for success”.
“The Brisbane 2032 Games journey was started by the region’s Mayors who saw it as an opportunity to deliver the infrastructure Queensland needs and now the board has the opportunity to shape the plan to deliver on that opportunity. Property will play a huge a role in this legacy for all of Queensland.”
