Police are at the scene of a service station robbery at Findon this afternoon.
Just before 2.30pm on Thursday 5 March, a man entered the petrol station on Crittenden Road at Findon and allegedly threatened the attendant with a knife. The suspect was given an amount of cash and left the premises on foot, heading south east on Crittenden Road, towards Port Road.
Fortunately no one was physically injured during the incident.
Patrols were quick to arrive on scene and located the suspect, as described by the victim, walking on Crittenden Road where he was arrested. Police recovered the cash and the knife allegedly used in the robbery.
Crime Scene Investigators will attend the scene to assist with the investigation.
A 34-year-old man from Woodville West was arrested and is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery.
