Council is supporting the R U OK Day Community Expo through its Community Grants program. This event will be held on Thursday 12 September from 10 am – 12 noon at Brighton Town Hall and showcases Bayside organisations who provide activities events, support and services for the community.
Visitors will be able to talk to staff from Castlefield Community Centre, Hampton Community Centre, Highett Neighbourhood Community House, Sandybeach Centre, BayCISS, U3A, Headspace, Men’s Shed, Connect Health, Parks Victoria, Bayside Council, Musculoskeletal Australia, Bayside Glen Eira Kingston Local Learning & Employment Network, Taskforce, Connect Health & Community and Southern Melbourne Primary Care Partnership and more about ways to improve your health and well-being and to connect with your community.
This event coincides with R U Ok Day – a national initiative to shine the spotlight on mental health and the importance of supporting and looking out for each other.
