RACS Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025

International Women’s Day (IWD) is an important occasion to celebrate the achievements of women, progress in women’s rights and women’s engagement in public life. It also serves to raise awareness of the issues impacting women all over the world.

RACS will be commemorating this important day with various events across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand from 7-8 March. Join us as we celebrate the achievements of women in the surgical profession and beyond.

• Associate Professor Kerin Fielding – RACS President
• Dr Jacob Koshy – ANZCA, Director of Anaesthesia, Alice Springs Hospital
• Dr Dawn-Louise Adair – RACP, Lead Fellow, Māori Health

Our presenters will be providing a range of perspectives on how they have helped someone march forward, why it is important for everyone to be part of marching forward and the resilience to keep marching.
