Investigations are underway after a ram raid at a high-end fashion store in Alexandria today.
About 5.30am (Sunday 24 February 2019), police were called to business on Bowden Street, Alexandria, after reports a vehicle had reversed through the glass front doors.
Two men entered the store and took a large quantity of clothing before leaving the store in the vehicle.
Police believe another vehicle, a red/orange Audi station wagon, was also used during the robbery.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene, with detectives from the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad investigating the incident.
Following inquiries, police believe the vehicle used in the ram-raid was a Ford Mondeo that was stolen from a unit block on Flora Street, Erskineville, at about 5:15am today (Sunday 24 February 2019).
It has since been recovered by Police after it was found abandoned in Alexandria.
