At their Monday 29 April meeting, the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council approved the release of the Mount Martha Public Golf Course – Expression of Interest (EOI). The purpose of the EOI is to seek interest from golf course operators on the management, operations, maintenance and capital investment opportunities at the golf course.
This market focused EOI will gather information to better inform Council on the options available to ensure the long-term sustainability of the golf course and this important community open space.
What happens now? On Saturday 11 May the EOI was released to the market for a period of six weeks. Council will then carefully consider the information to determine if or when to explore future options.
Quotes attributable to Mayor Simon Brooks:
“The Mount Martha Public Golf Course is a fantastic community asset. This EOI process is designed to ascertain the future potential of the course by seeking creative options from the market.
“We want to improve the viability and amenity of the course and this exercise will help us to image what an amazing, inclusive and accessible facility it can be in one of our region’s most picturesque settings.”
