**Reader’s Digest survey lists Toyota as Most Trusted Car Brand**
**Result marks 18th straight year Toyota awarded most trusted car brand**
**2800 Australians surveyed across 74 brand categories**
Toyota Australia has been judged Australia’s Most Trusted Car Brand in the annual Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Survey, marking the 18th consecutive year Toyota has come out on top in the respected publication’s survey.
The survey results were based on responses from 2800 members of the Australian public, who were asked for their opinions on which brands are most important to them.
The 24th annual survey was conducted independently by reputed consultancy Catalyst Research, giving a mixed demographic of participants an online questionnaire asking them to name the brands they trust across 74 different product categories.
Participants were asked to rate which brand they trusted most and why, with Toyota coming out on top among all vehicle brands.
Reader’s Digest Editor-in-Chief Louise Waterson said consistency and reliability were key factors in determining the most trusted brands in Australia.
“For award-winning brands, the complex challenges created by the current economic environment has only reinforced their determination to work harder to retain the trust of their current customers and attract the trust of new ones,” she said.
“Trusted brands are consistent, reliable and value-for-money – while also cleverly improving and expanding their existing practices to suit their customers’ needs and concerns.”
Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Vin Naidoo said the results were indicative of the reputation for quality, durability and reliability that Toyota has built over decades in the market.
“It is an honour to be named the Most Trusted Car Brand by Reader’s Digest, and it’s especially pleasing to top the list for the 18th consecutive year, clearly showing the faith consumers have in Toyota and its vehicles,” Mr Naidoo said.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our diverse and strongly loyal customer base, whose dedication to the Toyota brand saw us deliver over 230,000 vehicles in 2022.
“Over 30 per cent of those sales comprised hybrid models, which enable customers to significantly reduce tailpipe CO2 emissions and fuel costs with no compromise on practicality.”
