There are lots of things that make Merri-bek such a great place to live, work and play.
One important one is our parks!
Parks are amazing community spaces for people to come together, take a breather or get some exercise.
We’re always working to make our parks better, and we have a few upgrades to share.
Moomba Dog Park, Fawkner – a new fenced off-leash dog park
This new park features shade trees, a shelter, plenty of seating, drinking fountains, agility equipment and different surface materials for dogs to explore. There is a separately fenced quiet dog zone from the main dog zone.
Coburg Lake – new fitness equipment
We recently replaced fitness equipment stations at Coburg Lake. There is also a new accessible drinking fountain with dog bowl, and a platform seat with shade trees.
Kingsford Smith Ulm Dog Park, Glenroy – a new fenced off-leash dog park
This new park features dedicated small-dog area, agility equipment, shelter and seating, a sand pit and more.
ATC Cook Reserve, Glenroy – new fitness equipment
We’ve installed new fitness equipment, an accessible drinking fountain with a dog bowl and platform seat with shade trees. Stay tuned for new fitness equipment coming for seniors, along with a new shelter.
