It’s the time of year to recognise our outstanding Teacher and Educators.
Nominations are now open for the 2022 Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards and the NT Education and Care Awards.
The awards are an opportunity to recognise the contributions of school teachers, principals, leaders and support staff who are making a difference in the lives of NT students, and the vital contribution early childhood educators, and service providers make to the lives of Northern Territory children and their families.
Our educators are resilient and flexible, and have managed the challenges of COVID-19 in our schools while still delivering face to face learning.
There are nine categories for the Territory Excellence Awards ranging from Northern Territory Principal of the Year, Northern Territory Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Educator of the Year, and Northern Territory Vocational Education Trainer of the Year.
Territorians are encouraged to nominate an educator or service they feel demonstrates outstanding commitment to early childhood education in the NT Education and Care Awards. Nominations are open for awards including, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Aboriginal Educator and a new category the Outstanding Education and Care Program Award.
The 2022 award winners will receive $1,500 (each individual award) and $2,000 (service award) towards their professional learning objectives, enhance their awareness and understanding of quality practices in education and care and ultimately lead to quality improvements in education and care services across the Territory.
Nominations for both awards close on Friday 24 June 2022 and can be found at the following links:
