The finalists for this year’s Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards have been announced, with Red Hill South and Sorrento named as finalists in their respective categories.
Now in its third year, the Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards aim to highlight the value of tourism to the towns and communities across Victoria and celebrate the diversity and outstanding regional destinations of our state.
Run by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council, the Awards are a chance for Red Hill South and Sorrento to gain valuable media attention and to showcase the different visitor experiences that make them unique as a destination.
Red Hill South – Tiny but mighty
Red Hill South boasts wineries, hatted restaurants, farm-gates, art galleries and the iconic Red Hill Market. This tiny hinterland town is also home to sculpture parks, day spas, boutique accommodation and walking tracks, including the Red Hill Rail Trail. For locals and visitors-alike, it’s the perfect destination to spoil and unwind year-round.

Sorrento – Small luxuries
Sorrento is known for its luxe boutiques, galleries and exceptional hospitality venues complete with world-renown chefs. It has the ferry to Queenscliff at its doorstep, opening up exciting holiday options. This bayside town also features an abundance of marine life and unique aquatic encounters. For those looking to stay and explore, Sorrento offers luxurious accommodation options and fine dining experiences, making it the perfect destination.
Sorrento’s entry in the Small Tourism Town category was submitted by Sorrento Beachside Tourism, an accredited Visitor Information Centre.
