Registration Open: Please apply to join the second UN High-Level Meeting on TB

The United Nations General Assembly will hold the second high-level meeting on the fight against tuberculosis on 22 September 2023. The theme of the meeting is: “Advancing science, finance and innovation, and their benefits, to urgently end the global tuberculosis epidemic, in particular, by ensuring equitable access to prevention, testing, treatment and care.”

The President of the UN General Assembly has just announced that the application process for special accreditation for the High-Level Meeting on Fight Against Tuberculosis (TB) is now open. The deadline for registration is: 19 June 2023 at 23:59 [EDT].

Registration process: The application for special accreditation for the UN High-Level Meeting on TB is open. In order to participate in the high-level event, the following categories of relevant organizations that are  not in consultative status with ECOSOC  must express interest and must apply for special accreditation. It applies to 1) Non-governmental organizations ; 2) Civil society organizations ; 3) Academic institutions and 4) Private sector. We urge all the relevant stakeholders to apply with urgency to participate in the UN High-Level Meeting on Fight Against TB. This will be important to secure US visas on time.

Please Note: 

*  Application for special accreditation must be submitted on behalf of the organization, not an individual. Please see the information on the Special Accreditation .

* Stakeholder applications will be approved by UN Member States, in accordance with the relevant General Assembly Resolution. The name of the organization and country will be shared with the UN Member States, and other information, including but not limited to the homepage.

About the UN High Level Meeting on TB

The UN high-level meeting is aimed to undertake a comprehensive review on the achievement of agreed tuberculosis goals at national, regional and global levels in the 2018 Political Declaration, and to identify gaps and solutions to accelerate progress towards ending the tuberculosis epidemic by 2030.
