Each year on Anzac Day, Australians attend commemorative services at dawn, the time of the original landing of our troops in Gallipoli in 1915.
We remember those who have died in wars and conflicts, past and present.
Come along and remember our troops at one of the RSL services in Nillumbik.

Montmorency – Eltham RSL ANZAC Dawn Service
Montmorency – Eltham RSL will hold a 6am Dawn Service, with local students participating in readings, music and wreath laying. Mayor Ben Ramcharan will also lay a wreath, with Councillors Geoff Paine and Frances Eyre also in attendance. Traffic will be closed on Main Road, Eltham and a big screen erected. A gunfire breakfast provided by Eltham Rotary Club will follow. Local eateries will open early.

Hurstbridge RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC Day Service
Hurstbridge RSL Sub-Brach will run a 10am service, with readings from an officer from the Simpson Barracks along with local students, and scout groups. Councillor Karen Egan will pay her respects by laying a wreath. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Diamond Creek RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC Day Service
Diamond Creek RSL Sub-Branch will hold an 11am service involving local students, with Councillor Geoff Paine laying a wreath, and Councillor Richard Stockman also paying his respects.
Refreshments will follow at the Diamond Creek Bowling Club, along with a raffle, and a sausage sizzle provided by Diamond Creek Men’s Shed.

Kangaroo Ground ANZAC Day Service
The Kangaroo Ground Anzac Day Service will begin at 10.45am, with local student involvement and Mayor Ben Ramcharan to lay a wreath. Morning tea will follow next to the tower.
