Remote, rural and regional communities to receive over $800,000 in Australian Government funding

Recognising the continuing impacts of COVID-19 on remote, rural and regional communities, the Australian Government has partnered with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) to provide more than $800,000 in funding through the first round of the Strengthening Rural Communities – Rebuilding Regional Communities (RRC) program.

Fifty projects will share in $834,892 of funding through this initial round.

The Australian Government has committed $5 million from 2022 to 2024 to the RRC stream, which will be distributed by FRRR, for community-led initiatives to support the recovery of remote and regional communities.
