Today, Daniel Andrews has doubled down on his outrageous refusal to repay more than $1.38 million misused by the Labor Party.
Daniel Andrews has he will not repay the money because “that’s not one of the recommendations” of Operation Watts.
In 2018, Daniel Andrews repaid $388,000 of taxpayers’ money that was fraudulently misused as part of Labor’s infamous red shirts scheme.
In the Ombudsman’s 2018 that exposed the rort – no recommendation was made to repay the money.
Despite this, Daniel Andrews voluntarily repaid the misused $388,000 “[It] is the appropriate thing to do in relation to the findings in the report that has been tabled today.”
Furthermore, speaking in Parliament on the 27th March 2018, Daniel Andrews stated “The Victorian branch of the Australian Labor Party, at my urging, has repaid in full that amount, with no recommendation to do so. In fact it was done voluntarily, appropriately in full.”
Daniel Andrews spin and double standards have caught up with him. If it was good enough to repay in 2018, its good enough to repay now.
Repay the money Dan, today.
