Resilience Training Returns To Kempsey In November

Kempsey Shire Council

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? The Resilience Canopy program is returning to Kempsey Shire this November, offering an exciting opportunity for locals to gain valuable skills in community leadership and resilience building.

This nationwide initiative is designed to help communities prepare for future challenges, from natural hazards to other societal stresses, by empowering individuals to lead the way.

In times of natural disaster individuals and community groups across the Kempsey Shire have proven the power of coming together and supporting each other. The Resilience Canopy training provides participants with the tools and knowledge to develop those instincts, helping to formalise plans for a safer future, and connecting them to a broader network of partners who offer support through investment, expertise, and in-kind resources.

By joining the program, you’ll become part of a growing community of practice around self-led community resilience, helping to strengthen Kempsey Shire and ensuring it can adapt to future challenges.

The practitioner training over four sessions, consists of online sessions and two full days of face-to-face learning on November 19 and 20 at The Stables in Gladstone

It’s an incredible chance to gain hands-on experience, build leadership skills, and connect with like-minded individuals who are committed to making Kempsey a stronger, more resilient community.

Additionally, community groups who have undertaken the training will have the opportunity to secure Activation Grants, providing financial support for local projects aimed at community strengthening.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to become a local leader in resilience. Register your interest today and secure your spot in the training. Together, we can build a more resilient future for Kempsey.
