Campaspe Shire Council is urging the community to support local businesses following the release of the State Government’s set of Restart Guidelines.
Chief Executive Officer, Declan Moore said the guidelines have been set to assist businesses safely recommencing services in line with the current easing of restrictions.
“The Restart Guidelines support the roadmap to reopening and will ensure the health and safety of staff and customers,” Mr Moore said.
Businesses are now required to ask customers for proof of residency to safeguard regional Victorians from the spread of coronavirus out of metropolitan Melbourne.
Identification must be shown at all accommodation venues, hair and beauty services, and hospitality businesses for sit down dining. ID is not required when purchasing take away food.
“We ask the community to show their support for businesses as they play an integral part in helping to reduce the spread of the virus,” Mr Moore said.
