Restrictions due to State Government’s Covid Roadmap

There will be restrictions put in place for some people, depending on their COVID-19 vaccination status, to access Lismore City Council facilities and services from Monday, 11 October 2021.

These changes are due to the State Government’s COVID-19 roadmap that Council must implement.

Council acknowledges that some people may not have had the opportunity to get their first and/or second vaccination, while others have chosen not to get vaccinated.

Those wanting to access the following Council facilities must show proof of double COVID-19 vaccination or hold a medical contraindication certificate.

  • Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre
  • Switch 24/7 Gym
  • Lismore Memorial Baths
  • Lismore Recycling & Recovery Centre and the Nimbin Transfer Station
  • The Lismore and Nimbin Revolve Shop
  • Lismore Regional Gallery
  • The Family History and Research Centre at 6 Centenary Drive, Goonellabah
  • Council’s Corporate Centre at Oliver Ave, Goonellabah
  • Council Chambers

All libraries in the Richmond Tweed network, including Lismore and Goonellabah libraries, will offer a Click and Collect Service only and will be closed to the public.

Despite the restrictions at the Corporate Centre and, Council meetings and briefings, which have been adopted to ensure the safety of staff, members of the public can still use Council’s online forms at and to watch Council meetings from the comfort of your home via our Facebook page or website.

At all indoor facilities, please continue to practice COVID-19 safety protocols, including the mandatory wearing of a mask, signing in and out with a QR Code, using hand sanitizer and practicing social distancing.

This is a new world for our community, Council and the State. Please be patient as we continue to work through the implications of the NSW Government’s Road Map and Public Heath Order.

Many local businesses must also introduce access restrictions. Please remember at all times that both Council and businesses are staffed by locals who are also going through the same as you. Please be kind and recognise they are simply doing what they have been told to do to keep our community safe.
