Caroline Springs and Melton police members detected over 30 driving offences in the area during the month of Operation Burrell in January.
Operation Burrell was conducted after a recent spike in collisions in area caused by drivers failing to obey traffic signs.
The operation commenced on Tuesday January 1 and finished on Thursday January 31.
The offences detected included:
• 32 penalty notices – mainly for disobeying road signs and using mobile phones.
• One suspended driver had his car impounded and will be charged on summons.
• Four arrests for non-traffic related crimes. (Three outstanding warrants and a theft).
