It also includes special events at various locations, including a screening of ‘Terra Femme’, a film on the history of women travellers, at the WA Museum Boola Bardip on Thursday July 7 and Sunday July 10.

Local talent takes the spotlight with Ella Wright’s documentary ‘Stage Changers’, Karla Hart’s short ‘Tooly’ and Ben Matei and Jennie Tkaz’s 2021 animated short ‘Never Alone’ among the local selections. WA shorts will be celebrated at the popular ‘Westralia Day’ event at The Backlot on Saturday July 9 and at the closing night event ‘Get Your Shorts On!’ held on Sunday July 17.
