Council is inviting community to review the revised Draft of the Neighbourhood Character Strategy, which incorporates feedback received from two previous consultations.
The strategy covers all residential areas across Nillumbik Shire, including the rural townships, and aims to guide new development, ensuring it respects and responds to the existing or preferred valued features or character of an area.
Nillumbik Mayor, Councillor Ben Ramcharan said feedback from approximately 680 people, with communications reaching over 5,000 during consultation has been received and considered.
“This feedback has been used to make changes to, and inform the current revised draft.” Cr Ramcharan said
Following this third phase of engagement the final draft of the strategy will be presented to Councillors at a future Council meeting for consideration to adopt the strategy.
Council officers are available for 15-minute online appointments on Wednesday 12 July and Thursday 13 July to answer any questions you may have about the draft Neighbourhood Character Strategy.
