Nominations are now open for the 2020 Boroondara Urban Design Awards. These special awards are a celebration of excellence in urban design and high quality architecture across the City of Boroondara.
Mayor of Boroondara Cr Cynthia Watson said the awards were a great way to recognise many fine examples of architecture and design which have made an outstanding contribution to our visual amenity and urban fabric.
“Our City is well-renowned for its leafy residential streetscapes and vibrant shopping strips,” said Cr Watson.
“While we proudly celebrate our City’s heritage, we are also home to some of Melbourne’s most innovative contemporary urban architecture.”
“Our neighbourhoods are enjoyed and appreciated by residents and visitors alike for their sense of place, harmony and aesthetic appeal.”
“Through the Boroondara Urban Design Awards, we can recognise architectural innovation and excellence, to highlight the positive impact good design has on our beloved City,” said Cr Watson.
