Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation into an alleged assault against a woman in Rivervale on Monday, 14 March 2022.
About 11:00pm, a 24-year-old woman was walking along Alexander Road when it is alleged she was approached by the man who was walking towards her from the opposite direction. It will be alleged as the man started to pass the woman, he grabbed her and indecently assaulted her before running off towards Armadale Road and fleeing the area in a white Mitsubishi ASX.
The 31-year-old man from Dayton has been charged with:-
• Unlawful and Indecent Assault
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 24 March 2022.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives urge anyone in the Rivervale, Perth CBD or Northbridge areas that may have been approached by a man in a white Mitsubishi ASX on Monday 14 March, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
