Pack the winter woollies and head along to the Riverway Movie Nights this weekend for the screening of one of the coolest movies of the year, Abominable.
The animated family flick is the heart-warming adventure about Yi who discovers a yeti and embarks on a journey to return him to Mount Everest.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said the free movie nights at Riverway were a favourite with families.
“With the beautiful cool evenings, it is a perfect time for the whole family rug up and take advantage of this amazing free night out,” Cr Greaney said.
“It’s great to see people come along and enjoy a free to low-cost night out with their family and friends at Riverway.
“Pack the hot chocolate, some popcorn and a warm blanket and enjoy this feel-good movie under the stars.”
Food trucks will also be on site for those who would like to grab a bite to eat.
The screening of Abominable starts at 6:30pm this Friday at Riverway Oval.
