Road Deviation – McKerrow Road, Swan Hill

Swan Hill Rural City Council, at its Ordinary meeting on 19 October 2021, resolved to proceed with the road deviation of McKerrow Road, Swan Hill pursuant to section 207B(2A) and Clause 2 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) and in accordance with the accompanying plan. Council resolved to deviate the section of road shown cross hatched to the section of road shown hatched.

The proposal is that once the existing road is deviated, it will be sold to Briar Superannuation Pty Ltd ACN 154165750 in exchange for Council purchasing the new road from the developer. Both parcels of land being approximately of equal value.

After receiving any written submissions within 28 days, which will be considered under Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989, Council may decide to proceed with the deviation and land exchange, or to retain the existing road.
