On Friday May 10th, 2024, road repairs will commence on Pipers Flat Road near Old Pipers Flat Road just outside of Wallerawang, to remediate the road surface.
The Council will be removing the damaged road surface on portions of the road and expects that the road will remain unsealed for several weeks, this is being done to ensure that there is no further movement in the road surface before it is re-sealed.
While the works take place the road will be under traffic control and there may be minor delays for motorists for the duration of these works. The Council advises that residents plan travel times accordingly. It is also advised that motorists take care and reduce their speed when travelling on the unsealed section of the road.
Lithgow Council thanks the users of the road for their patience. It is expected that the initial works removing the road surface will be completed by the close of business Friday 10th May, weather permitting. Once the initial works are complete the Council will advise when the road will be re-sealed in the coming weeks.
