Council is delivering a smooth new road on River Terrace in Mullumbimby.
Works on the 330m road reseal started on Wednesday 10 April and are expected to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The road reseal has been made possible thanks to funding from the NSW Government’s Fixing Local Roads grant program.
“River Terrace was badly damaged by the 2022 flood and has been in very poor condition since,” Council’s Director Infrastructure Services, Phil Holloway said.
We are very pleased to be replacing the current road pavement, rebuilding and strengthening the sub-surface road and laying a smooth, new road that will deliver long-term benefits for the community,” he said.
“To get these works done as quickly as possible, we will be closing River Terrace at both ends, from the intersection of Burringbar Street to the intersection of Dalley Street,” Mr Holloway said.
“Access to the street will remain open to local traffic and local buses but will be one way only and vehicles will need to access River Terrace from Dalley Street and exit out of Burringbar Street.” He said.
