Council is undertaking repair works around the Basin area throughout August and September. See details below and please allow extra time as cars need to slow down when using a single lane.
The Wool Road works start Wednesday
- From Wednesday 17 August works to repair The Wool Road in Basin View will begin.
- Works will be carried out on the section between Tallyan Point Road and Brompton Road.
- Work is expected to take around two weeks, weather permitting.
- A single lane will operate under traffic control during this time so motorists should allow extra time.
Naval College Road works start September
- Once The Wool Road repairs are complete, patching will begin on Naval College Road in late August / early September.
- Works will be carried out on the section between Pine Forest Road and the Seagrass Avenue.
- Work is expected to take around three weeks, weather permitting.
- A single lane will operate under traffic control during this time so motorists should allow extra time.
Plantation Point Parade works underway
- Shoulder and drainage works are currently being carried out.
- This is the first stage of works to improve the road, with stages 2 and 3 planned later this year.
- Motorists and residents are asked not to remove cones and signage as these are critical to ensure the works are done effectively and safely.
- Please don’t park on recent shoulder works to ensure that there are no wheel ruts in the shoulder prior to sealing works being undertaken.
