Police have charged four people following a vehicle being stolen from Gaythorne earlier this week.
It will be alleged that on Wednesday, June 15, a Toyota Aurion sedan was stolen from a Mott Street address.
The vehicle was sighted last night by Sunshine Coast officers while conducting enforcement actions at an interception site on the Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek.
The vehicle was tracked north for a period of time by PolAir, before it was observed to turn off onto Caloundra Road and travel east.
Officers deployed and successfully utilised a tyre deflation device along Caloundra Road, with the vehicle tracked to bushland near Honey Farm Road, Meridan Plains, where its occupants attempted to flee on foot.
Officers were initially able to take three offenders into custody, with a fourth offender found a short time later with assistance from PolAir and Dog Squad officers.
A 15-year-old Boondall girl has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.
A 16-year-old Sandgate boy has been charged with burglary, receiving tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
They will face Maroochydore Childrens Court.
A 18-year-old Boondall man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.
He will face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 11.
A 22-year-old Tewantin man has been charged with burglary, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess used utensils.
He will face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 17.
