Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Roebourne last night, Wednesday 4 September 2024.
About 6:25pm, a beige Holden Captiva was being driven west on North West Coastal Highway, between Karratha and Roebourne. At the same time a blue Toyota Hilux was being driven east on the same road. The two vehicles collided with each other near the intersection of Cleaverville Road.
The male passenger of the Holden Captiva, who is believed to be aged in his 50s, died at the scene. The driver of the Holden Captiva – a man aged in his 30s – received serious injuries in the crash and was taken by St John WA to Karratha Health Campus.
The driver of the Toyota Hilux – a woman aged in her 50s – received minor injuries in the crash and was taken by St John WA to Karratha Health Campus.
