Roleystone Community College Redevelopment Commences

  • $15.5 million redevelopment to deliver new learning facilities at Roleystone Community College
  • Includes new sports hall with drama studio and STEM laboratory upgrade
  • Providing modern purpose-built facilities for student learning

Construction has started on a $15.5 million redevelopment at Roleystone Community College to deliver a range of new purpose-built learning facilities for students.

The project includes a new sports hall to provide all-weather physical education facilities for secondary students, a STEM laboratory upgrade, and a new drama studio to support the expansion of the school’s performing arts programs.

This will see drama, dance and music programs being developed to make use of the new space, further supporting the college’s specialist film and television program.

Construction is anticipated for completion in early 2026. The project is part of the WA Labor Government’s record $4.8 billion education infrastructure program.

As stated by Education Minister Dr Tony Buti:

“This is an exciting upgrade for Roleystone Community College that will not only be an improvement for students and staff but also for the Roleystone community.

“One of the aims for this upgrade is for the college to become a central hub in Roleystone, with new buildings being made available for community use outside school hours.”

As stated by Darling Range MLA Hugh Jones:

“I am proud to join the school community at this important milestone as construction gets underway on my key election promise.

“This project invests in the future of our students with modern, purpose-built facilities that will enrich learning and create new opportunities for Roleystone Community College and the wider community.”
