Sydney, Australia – [30/30/24] – Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho has touched down in Australia ahead of the Joga Bonito Tour, which features a star-studded exhibition match in Sydney at CommBank Stadium on Friday, 1 November 2024.

Joining him on Australian soil is opposing team captain and local legend Tim Cahill, who has also arrived in Sydney for his first match on home turf since 2019.

Both Ronaldinho and Cahill are leading all-star squads featuring a dazzling array of former football greats, including Brett Emerton, Aaron Mooy, Luke Wilkshire, Jean Narde, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Jose Baxter, along with a host of former Matildas, Socceroos, and A-League stars.

Fans will also witness the return of much-loved former Socceroos coach Graham Arnold, who will lead Cahill’s XI from the sidelines.

The two football icons met earlier today at the official pre-match press conference at CIRQ Crown Sydney, the event’s hotel partner, with the stunning Sydney Harbour as the backdrop. Both Ronaldinho and Cahill were in high spirits, showing they haven’t lost their passion or sense of fun as they gear up for Friday’s game.

“I’m excited to be here in Australia for the Joga Bonito Tour. Football has the power to bring people together, and this is going to be a celebration of the beautiful game,” Ronaldinho said. “I can’t wait to take the field and put on a show with Tim and all the incredible players,” he added.
