Rotary and QPS stand together and say no to Domestic Violence

Members of The Rotary Clubs of District 9640, Commissioner Katarina Carroll, Assistant Commissioner Brian Codd and various QPS staff recently came together for the presentation of co-branded umbrellas with a message of domestic and family violence (DFV) prevention.

Rotary District Governor Jeff Egan, Past Governor Andy Rajapakse and Rotary District Membership Chair Dave Harmon presented Commissioner Carroll with 100 co-branded umbrellas that prominently display the message “Say no to domestic violence”.

Commissioner Carroll thanked The Rotary Club for their donation.

“These umbrellas, which we intend to disperse across frontline officers, DFV co-ordinators and staff from the DFV & Vulnerable Persons Units and High Risk Teams across the state, have powerful branding that shows what we stand for,” said Commissioner Carroll.

“Everyone has the right to live without fear of domestic and family violence.”

“We all play a part in domestic and family violence prevention. Together, we can make a difference.”
