The McGowan Government’s investment in revitalising the Perth CBD and Northbridge continues with 18 eligible businesses, property owners and not-for-profits sharing in more than $1.2 million of funding from the Perth CBD Revitalisation Grant Program.
Successful applicants funded in Round 1 of the McGowan Government’s $4 million grants scheme are already adding vibrancy to the city centre and surrounds, with Round 2 attracting 72 applicants.
The Perth CBD and Northbridge will further come alive during a bumper summer events season with successful Round 2 applicants including:
- food, wine and heritage festivals;
- art installations and performing arts events; and
- sporting and youth festivals.
The McGowan Government’s investment is part of a $12 million package aimed at increasing foot traffic in the Perth CBD and Northbridge, with the intention of making the city more connected, active, and an attractive place to live, work, visit or play.
Applications are assessed against criteria of economic impact, activation, and capability to deliver.
The third and final round of applications will be open from 1 February to 1 March, for events to be held by 30 June 2023.

“Our Government continues to do everything we can to boost vibrancy, activity and foot traffic throughout the Perth CBD and Northbridge – and as part of our efforts, we’re funding a $4 million CBD Revitalisation Grant Program.
“As part of Round 2, we’re deeply proud to be providing 18 eligible businesses and not-for-profits a share of more than $1.2 million for a range of exciting events that will heat up this
summer’s upcoming event season.
“The events funded to date cover a wide range of programs, to appeal to a vast number of different interests and communities, while supporting local businesses.
“It’s been great to see the Perth CBD and Northbridge are transforming back to the thriving entertainment precincts we know them to be.
“The third and final round of applications will open on 1 February and will close on 1 March 2023 – for events to be held by 30 June, 2023.
“The successful applicants from Round 2 of the CBD Revitalisation Grant Program will contribute to a summer season packed with spectacular and varied programs in Perth and Northbridge.
“I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the activities on offer over the next few months.”
