SALA 2020 celebrates 25 years of Pepper Street! There are 2 parts to this blended exhibition, on show until 28 August.
The Pop up show of artworks by a range of local and regular artists has thrown open Pepper Street’s doors again, bringing a wintery vibe collection of artworks to our returning community of visitors.
‘A Quarter Century’ is the digital nostalgia component highlighting the 25 year milestone. The video you see here captures a ‘past and present’ perspective from several local artists, and one artist volunteer having been involved for the entire 25 years! We thank these artists and hope to see this body of interviews grow over the next stage of the Centre.
Readers are invited to nominate an artist whose works you have seen at Pepper Street who you would like to see profiled in the future.
Also on show is an intriguing collection of memorabilia via a retrospective slideshow of exhibitions, events, the community of participants, artists and volunteers who have helped shape us so far.
