Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Bulcock Street to Santa’s Arcade. Vixen and Blitzen are having a rest, so Santa’s cruising in a classic car along the coast. Horns will be beeping and children singing, merry and bright, because Santa Claus comes to Caloundra tomorrow.
Santa will arrive at Santa’s Arcade at 55 Bulcock Street, Caloundra, at 10am tomorrow, Saturday, November 23, with his merry band of helpers to be greeted by thousands of cheering locals. Nearly 10,000 people shared the spirit of Christmas with family and friends at last year’s event.
Division 2 Councillor Tim Dwyer wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and best wishes to you and your family.
“Christmas is a special time of year and we’re pleased we can share the joy with the local community,” Cr Dwyer said.
“It will be a fun-filled day, as will the weeks to come, as we start counting down to the holidays. Make sure you come on down to meet Santa and his crew of roving entertainers, get your face painted, and get a happy family snap of the family to with the man in the red suit for free.
“Bring your friends, family, colleagues, the kids or even your pets – with free pet photos Sundays 10am-2pm.
“Getting involved in Christmas celebrations is always exciting and I would encourage everyone, whether you live in Caloundra or elsewhere, to come along and join the Christmas fun.”
We know Santa has his lists of naughty and nice and Sunshine Coast youngsters are certain to have their Christmas wish lists too so encourage the kids to put pencil to paper and drop their letters to Santa’s mailbox in the arcade before December 18 so Santa can send them a personalised reply.
The Caloundra Business Alliance’s Karlie Brett said the annual Christmas celebrations on Bulcock Street were a great way to end the year with friends and family enjoying the festivities.
“On behalf of the businesses on Bulcock Street, I want to say thank you to our loyal customers for supporting us throughout the year and encourage everyone to come along to this great event,” Ms Brett said.
Karen McNamara from KBAS Accounting is another business that loves to get involved by helping decorate Santa’s Workshop and enjoys the community spirit it evokes.
“Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year to enjoy with friends and family and to celebrate everything we have achieved in our businesses this year,” she said.
