The Member for Rockdale, the Hon. Steve Kamper MP, and Bayside Councillors recently visited the Scarborough Park Sports Centre in Hawthorne Street, Ramsgate Beach.
This multi-court facility was built with grant funding from the NSW Government’s Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund.
The new facility now boasts six new courts, player and spectator shelters, compliant sports fencing as well as sporting infrastructure like goals, netting and posts.
The upgrade has rejuvenated the Scarborough Park courts which are now safe, accessible, and sympathetic to the highly valued natural environment of the area.
The upgrade has created a true multi-sports facility where the community can enjoy additional recreational activities like tennis, basketball, volleyball and futsal.
The new facility now boasts six new courts, player and spectator shelters, compliant sports fencing as well as sporting infrastructure like goals, netting and posts.
The area open for the community to make use. Bookings can be made through the operators Sydney Sports Management Group.
