A search and rescue operation is underway to locate a missing 28-year-old man last seen in Mornington last night, November 28.
Initial information indicates Regan Dempsey entered the Leichhardt River near Burke Street approximately 7pm.
He was not seen exiting the river and a land search was conducted at Burke Street and surrounding areas.
Regan is described as first nations, approximately 178cm tall, slim build, dark hair and dark eyes.
Local police have resumed the search and rescue operation today with the assistance of SES and QFD.
Police are appealing to the man, or anyone who has any information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.
