Police have completed today’s search for a teenager, missing and feared drowned in the water off Parsons Beach on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Members from Water Operations Unit along with the Police helicopter spent this morning (Thursday 16 January) searching the area for any sign of the missing boy. Police encountered rough conditions today with poor visibility.
Police will return to the area tomorrow (Friday 18 January) in a final attempt to locate the body of the missing boy.
The alarm was raised just after 12.30pm on Tuesday 15 January when two swimmers got into trouble near the rocky out crop on the southern end of Parsons Beach. One man made it back to shore, however the second swimmer, a 17-year-old boy from Victoria, was not seen to make it back to safety.
