Search on for griffiths brightest businesses

Griffith City Council and Griffith City Cinemas have joined forces to help promote the city’s brightest businesses this Christmas.

Chair of Griffith’s Christmas Working Group, Councillor Dino Zappacosta, is urging local businesses who have decorated and added Christmas cheer to take a photo and share it.

“We have been working hard to ensure Griffith is ready for the festive season this year. The community tree in Memorial Park is up and the lights were officially turned on last Friday night, two London Plane trees in Banna Avenue now have lights, we’ve also got stars in the garden beds and our new Christmas banners look great,” Cr Zappacosta said.

“The feedback has been really positive, now we’d love to help promote those local businesses who are also showing Christmas spirit.”

The 2019 Bright Lights on Banna Business photo competition is open to all businesses within the Griffith Local Government Area.

Just dress up your shop-front or office for the festive season and post a photo to the Griffith City Council Facebook page or tag @brightlightsonbanna Instagram page – and don’t forget to and use the #brightlightsonbanna and #griffithcitycinemas hashtags!

The ‘brightest’ businesses will receive Griffith City Cinema, Family Funland or Star Bowling vouchers. The competition closes on Friday 21 December 2019 with the winners also receiving Bright Lights on Banna Star Business window stickers.

Residents are reminded that they can help light up Griffith by decorating their homes – you can register online at griffith.nsw.gov.au/FOLregister with all participants receiving 2 bowling vouchers and $10 at Family Fun Land with thanks to our sponsors.
