Police are coordinating a search operation in waters off North Keppel Island after a 60-year-old man was reported missing in the early hours of this morning.
Initial information indicates around 3am, two men were attempting to swim to their seven-metre vessel which was dragging its anchor near Conical Rocks.
One of the men, a 62-year-old made it to the vessel, however the other man did not reach it and remains missing.
A search commenced this morning involving Yeppoon Water Police, coastguard and multiple aerial assets.
