A search will resume this morning for a woman missing while bushwalking at Belmore Falls.
Just after 1.00pm on Sunday (7 April 2024), emergency services were called to Belmore Falls near Robertson, following reports a woman had slipped and fallen down a cliff.
An extensive search was initiated involving officers attached to The Hume Police District, NSW Police rescue, NSW Ambulance rescue, State Emergency Service (SES), ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Parks and Wildlife Service, PolAir and the TOLL Rescue Helicopter; however, the 20-year-old woman was not located, and the search was suspended at dusk, due to low light.
The multi-agency water and land-based search, resumed about 8am yesterday (Monday 8 April 2024), with police divers attending to assist.
A command post has been established at the Belmore Falls Lookout car park off Belmore Falls Road and the search will resume about 8am today (Tuesday 9 April 2024).
