A woman has been arrested following the death of 38-year-old Krystal Marshall, whose body was found following a house fire at Aldinga Beach in October last year.
The incident was declared a Major Crime as detectives sought further information from the public.
Emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in Barracoota Crescent, Aldinga Beach just before 3.30pm on Friday 20 October.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze but sadly found Krystal’s body inside the home.
A 48-year-old Aldinga Beach man was arrested by detectives on Saturday 21 October and was charged with murder and arson.
Today (Thursday 22 February), Major Crime Detectives arrested a 29-year-old woman from Para Hills West. She was charged with murder, arson and interfering with human remains. She will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police are also appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything in the vicinity of the Barracoota Crescent home around 3.30pm on Friday 20 October, including any dashcam or CCTV footage obtained that may be relevant to the investigation. In particular police are requesting any information from members of the public about two vehicles seen in the area. The first being a blue Holden Astra which stopped outside of 26 Barracoota Crescent and spoke to a person on 19 October 2023. The other vehicle was a large white van which was in the area on 20 October 2023 when the fire first started.
