A second man has been charged over an incident at Doonside early this morning.
Officers attached North West Metropolitan Region Operational Support Group (OSG) attended Hill End Road, Doonside, about 12.30am today (Friday 22 November 2024), responding to reports five men were fighting.
Police will allege four men left the scene in a hatchback, with a fifth man allegedly leaving on foot.
A pursuit was initiated by OSG, with assistance of officers from Blacktown and Mt Druitt police area commands, PolAir and North West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (RES).
A short time later, the pursuit was terminated on Power Street when the car hit a pole and four men allegedly ran away.
Police followed the men on foot and arrested an 18-year-old man at Parkwood Street, Plumpton.
He was taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he was charged with custody of knife in public place, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal), armed with intent commit indicatable offence and affray.
He was refused bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court today (Friday 22 November 2024).
A 21-year-old man was also arrested at Plumpton. He remains in custody.
Police are making inquiries to identify the two outstanding men.
A short time later, police were patrolling Kilto Road, Doonside, when they saw a 20-year-old man who was on foot.
Police will allege during the arrest of that man, a 34-year-old male constable was stabbed in the chest.
That man has been charged and remains before the courts.
The officer was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition. He will undergo further testing today.
