Second man charged over road-rage stabbing, NSW

A second man has been charged as investigations continue into an alleged road-rage incident in Sydney’s south west yesterday.

Just after 3.15pm (Sunday 27 September 2020), two men –both aged 20 – presented to Fairfield Hospital, one suffering stab wounds, the other suffering a laceration to the head.

Their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and have been told the men were involved in a road-rage incident in the vicinity of Throsby Street, Fairfield Heights, about 3pm yesterday.

As part of inquiries, investigators arrested a 21-year-old man at Cabramatta Police Station.

The man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray and owner not disclose identity of driver/passenger.

He remains before the courts.

Following inquiries, police attended a home on Bulls Road, Wakely, today (Monday 28 September 2020), and arrested a 19-year-old man.

He was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

The man was refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court today where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Monday 23 November 2020.
