Second person charged after aggravated break and enter, NSW

A second person has been charged following an alleged aggravated break and enter in the state’s Central West last week.

About 1.15am on Friday (12 June 2020), a man and woman entered a property on Yarrawonga Road, Yarrawonga, about 30km north of Mudgee.

It’s alleged the pair threatened the owners, a 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, before forcing entry to a shed on the property.

When the 35-year-old woman confronted the pair, it’s alleged she was struck in the head multiple times with an unknown object.

The pair fled empty-handed and police were alerted.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the 35-year-old woman for minor injuries while officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were contacted and commenced an investigation.

A 32-year-old man was charged at Mudgee Police Station on Friday 12 June 2020, he was bail refused by the courts to reappear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday 8 July 2020.

Following inquiries, about 2.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 June 2020), officers arrested a 43-year-old woman at Gulgong Hospital, where she was taken to Mudgee Police Station.

She was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company intend steal, remain in building/land with intent commit indictable offence, enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The woman was given conditional bail to appear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday 22 July 2020.
