Premier Jeremy Rockliff and Treasurer Michael Ferugson are pleased to announce that Mr Gary Swain has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance, following an extensive nation-wide recruitment process.
Mr Swain brings with him a wealth of executive public sector leadership experience, most recently as the Deputy Secretary, Infrastructure and Transport within the Department of State Growth.
Mr Swain will commence in the role on 15 January 2024 for a period of five years.
The Department of Treasury and Finance serves all Tasmanians through high quality advice and the effective and efficient administration of our financial and regulatory responsibilities.
