Campaspe Shire Council is updating some on-street parking restrictions in Echuca’s CBD to encourage increased occupancy, improved accessibility and decrease parking durations.
Mayor, Cr Chrissy Weller said the decision has been made in line with Council’s Parking Strategy, adopted in January 2019, and aims to make parking times in the area more consistent.
“Importantly, accessible car parking spaces, for people with disabled parking permits, will be increased from nine to 14 in locations around the Riverfront, Hopwood Place and Leslie Street,” Cr Weller said.
Signage and road markings will be updated to reflect the following changes:
