A teenager has been arrested in the City after being tracked by security cameras from the scene of an alleged break in.
About 2.30am Wednesday 18 November police were called to a unit on Grote Street after the 27-year-old victim woke to find a male inside her home. The suspect stole the victim’s hand bag before leaving the property. Thankfully the victim wasn’t physically injured.
Police including PD Zac were called in to search the area, and with the assistance of security camera operators, and a description of the suspect from the victim, about 5am a 16-year-old Glandore man was located on North Terrace and arrested.
Checks on the teenager revealed he was in breach of his bail conditions and in possession of a knife. The boy has been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, carrying an offensive weapon and breach of bail. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
